Login/Password

To log in to your account, please type your username and password in the upper-left corner. Your username and password might be different for the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Live Learning Center than the login information you would normally use for your ACS member profile.

To retrieve your username and reset your password, please enter your full e-mail address. If it matches the e-mail address we have on file, you will receive an e-mail with your username and a URL with instructions on how to reset your password. Access Purchased Content

Upon your purchase, you will receive two e-mails, one will be the confirmation of your purchase, and the other will be instructions to access the content. The e-mail will have the following instructions:

Next, locate the "CC2016 Complete Package" product and click the "View My Course" link in the "External" column in the far-right corner.

You will have immediate access to the content upon making your purchase. You can access all your purchased multimedia content by clicking on My Content. My Content is located in one of the following places:

  • On the site’s left navigation menu.
  • In the My Account menu in the top navigation menu.

The My Content area is where you can view and download all of your purchased content from current and past conferences. In the My Content area, there will be multiple tabs at the top of the screen, including Courses, MP3 Audio Sessions.

Viewing Your Content

How to select and view the “Webcast Pick 25 of 2016 sessions ACS Clinical Congress 2016 Webcasts

(Please Note: You must disable your pop-up blocker, in order to access and select the PICK 25 or PICK 10 Packages. Find out how to disable your pop-up blocker.)

  • At the top menu, select the tab for “Courses.”
  • Select "ACS Webcast Pick 25/ACS Clinical Congress 2016 Webcasts" from the Conference dropdown menu below. Wait for this page to load until the black icon under "Watch Now" appears.
  • Next, click on the black icon. The next screen will allow you to pick 25 webcasts from 2016 Clinical Congress.
  • You do not have to choose all 25 sessions at one time, if you choose to select only a few, you can return to this page at any time by following the same instructions. Please be aware that your selections are final after you have chosen 25 sessions.
  • When you are finished with your selection of 25 sessions, click on "Click here to access the sessions that you have chosen" to begin viewing your session.

Cannot View Content

Our webcast players are compatible with most browsers. If the webcast player does not play, you may be missing a Flash or QuickTime plugin. Update or download the latest Flash and QuickTime plugins.

Press the home and power buttons at the same time to take a picture of your screen. The picture will be located in your Photos. You can send it as an attachment when e-mailing our Support Team.

How to Disable a Pop-Up Blocker

Internet Explorer

In Internet Explorer, pop-up blocking is enabled by default.

Internet Explorer 8

  1. Select Tools-->Pop-up Blocker-->Pop-up Blocker Settings.
  2. Add the location of your BMC FootPrints Service Core instance or instances to Allowed Sites list by typing the location(s) in the Address of web site to allow field (either the Distinguished Name or the IP address will work) and then clicking Add. Add as many locations as you need, clicking Allow for each one.
  3. Click Close. The task is complete.

Internet Explorer 9

  1. Select Tools-->Internet Options.
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. Leave Turn on Pop-up Blocker checked, or check it if it is not checked.
  4. Select Settings.
  5. Add the location of your BMC FootPrints Service Core instance or instances to Allowed Sites list by typing the location(s) in the Address of web site to allow field (either the Distinguished Name or the IP address will work) and then clicking Add. Add as many locations as you need, clicking Allow for each one.
  6. Click Close. The task is complete.

Firefox

In Firefox, pop-up blocking is enabled by default.

  1. Select Tools-->Options. The Options window is displayed.
  2. Click the Content tab in the Options window.
  3. Leave Block pop-up windows checked.
  4. Click on the Exceptions... button.
  5. Add the location of your BMC FootPrints Service Core instance or instances to the Pop-up Blocker exception list by typing the location(s) in the Address of web site field (either the Distinguished Name or the IP address will work) and then clicking Allow. Add as many locations as you need, clicking Allow for each one.
  6. Add the site you want to allow pop-ups by typing in the URL in the box under 'Address of website:' and then clicking Allow.
  7. Click Close. The Allowed Sites window closes.
  8. Click OK. The Options window closes and this task is complete.

Google Chrome

In Google Chrome, pop-up blocking is enabled by default.

To disable the Google Chrome pop-up blocker:

  1. Click the Google Chrome wrench icon to access browser settings
  2. In the top-right corner, click the Chrome menu Chrome menu .
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click Show advanced settings.
  5. Under "Privacy," click Content settings.
  6. Under "Pop-ups," check the Do not allow any site to show pop-ups (recommended) radio button and then click the Manage Exceptions... button.
  7. Add the location of your BMC FootPrints Service Core instance or instances to the Pop-up Blocker exception list (either the Distinguished Name or the IP address will work) in the Add a new exception pattern field
  8. Make sure Allow is selected from the Action drop-down list.
  9. Press the Enter key.
  10. Close the Content Settings tab to exit the Options window. The task is complete.

Safari (v 5.0.3)

The pop-up blocker built into Safari is enabled by default. You can only toggle between having all pop-ups blocked or allowing pop-ups by toggling the Block Pop-Up Windows option from the Safari menu.

How to Listen and Download MP3 Audio Sessions

  • In the top menu, select the tab for MP3 Audio Sessions.
  • Select "ACS Clinical Congress 2016 – MP3 Audio Sessions” from the Conference dropdown menu.
  • Click on the title of the MP3 to begin listening to your audio recordings.
  • To download, check the box next to the title, scroll down to the bottom of the page and hit the download button in order to begin the download to your device.

Please note: No more than 5–10 MP3 files are recommended to be downloaded at a time. Selecting 11+ files may result in a browser timeout, depending on internet speeds and connections.

Downloading Content

Audio MP3s can be downloaded from our Live Learning Centers by the following method.

  • Once logged in, click My Content then click on the My Downloads tab. There you can open or download the MP3 (audio) files and MP4 (video) files (where available).
  • You would select the files you want to download (by clicking the check boxes) then scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the "download" button.
  • You can then save them to the location of your choice on your computer.

Moving Files to Portable Devices and Creating Audio CDs

Our Learning Centers are viewable on most portable devices with an internet connection such as smartphones, tablets, etc. If the device does not have an internet connection, some of the content can be saved and moved to the portable devices for offline listening and viewing. The audio portion (MP3s) of most presentations can be downloaded and moved to portable devices. Apple devices such as iPods, iPhones, and iPads will require you use iTunes to transfer the files to the portable device.

The audio portion of the presentations can be downloaded and transferred to audio CDs or MP3 CDs for offline listening. You will need a CD burning program installed on your computer to burn the files on to CDs.
