SESAP Sampler

SESAP Sampler

SESAP® Sampler is designed to enhance surgical decision-making skills and patient care through continuous, periodic self-assessment. Developed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Division of Education, SESAP Sampler allows users to conveniently assess their surgical knowledge from anywhere, at any time.

Each month, subscribers receive 5 case-based, multiple-choice questions, along with discussions regarding each possible answer and citations for supporting references. The previously unpublished questions were developed through the same rigorous, multistep, peer-review process used for SESAP® 16. Topics include head and neck, breast, alimentary tract, abdomen, vascular, endocrine, trauma, perioperative care, surgical critical care, problems in related specialties, oncology, skin/soft tissue, legal/ethics, and patient safety/systems of care.

The Web-based self-assessment resource is offered as an annual subscription—consisting of 12 monthly online modules—and provides the opportunity to earn a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. These credits may be helpful in meeting continuing medical education requirements.

Please note that new subscriptions of SESAP Sampler are no longer available as of November 1, 2018. Current subscribers will retain access to monthly modules until the end of their subscriptions. SESAP Sampler will be retired at the end of September 2019, and CME credits for SESAP Sampler must be claimed by October 31, 2019.
