American College Of Surgeons - Inspiring Quality: Highest Standards, Better Outcomes

A Message from the Regents

Despite the tribulations of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s time to pause and reflect on our accomplishments. The ACS has been a true leader in helping our members and colleagues in health care think through the issues that have affected all surgeons, hospitals, and health systems. The engagement of our staff and collective leadership has been inspiring, and we have all risen to the challenge of persevering in the face of increasing COVID-19 caseloads and cessation of elective surgery. Our learning has included optimizing communications with digital technology, adapting telemedicine to care for patients, and formulating new ideas for distance learning.
