Registration Tips

ACS Medical Student Members

  • Register online by October 26 or in person on site. Please note: There are a limited number of seats available for this program; we will close registration when we reach capacity, which could take place before October 26.
  • Clinical Congress is free of charge with advance registration; $45 on site.
  • Registration for all three days of the Medical Student Program (MSP) is free of charge.
  • You must register for BOTH ACS Clinical Congress AND the Medical Student Program concurrently.
    • To do so, please indicate which days of MSP you will attend under the “Sessions” section of the event explorer portion of the Clinical Congress registration (there is one Medical Student Program box for each of the separate days of programming under the Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday tabs. You must indicate which of the 3 days you’d like to attend; registering for 1 does not automatically register you for multiple days).
    • Contact registration@facs.org if you have any questions or concerns.

Attendance Tips for All Medical Students

We understand this may be your first professional conference. Please know the following:

  • There is no formal dress code, but most of the attendees at Clinical Congress will be wearing business casual attire.
  • Wear comfortable shoes! You will be walking and standing often.
  • We offer opportunities through the MSP programming for medical students to interact with Program Directors and other decision makers at medical schools and residency programs. It is appropriate to ask them for advice such as what they look for in successful candidates for residency. It is NOT appropriate to ask them for a residency or for an interview.
  • If you have any questions or concerns about what to expect at this national conference, please do not hesitate to reach out to Katie McKenzie in the Division of Education.

Please note: When registering for the Medical Student Program, please select each session that you will attend (Day I—Sunday, Day II—Monday, and/or Day III—Tuesday). Programming is varied each day. You may register for one, two, or all three days.
