The Committee on Interprofessional Education and Practice comprehensively addresses the educational needs of interprofessional surgical team members and educates surgeons about their roles; supports and assists team members involved in surgical care; participates in defining the duties of interprofessional surgical team members; and assists with the process of accreditation of their respective educational programs.
