Will my gift be tax deductible?
Yes! The ACS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowable by law.
What are the giving levels?
All gifts are appreciated and make a real difference. Donors giving $1,000 or more are eligible for the Fellows Leadership Society, which offers increased recognition and an invitation to the annual Donor Recognition Luncheon during Clinical Congress. See sidebar for all levels.
Where does the money go?
Your gift will be used to fund College benefits for members and their patients in its mission of optimal care. You can even direct your donation to a specific ACS division of your choice. The full 100% of the gift will be used for programs and not Foundation administrative expenses.
How can I make a stock transfer?
Contact your broker and provide required instruction authorizing transfer of stock to the American College of Surgeons.
Inform the ACS Foundation (by phone at 312-202-5376 or e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org of your intent to contribute stock, providing the following:
- Your full name
- Name, address, and telephone number of your broker
- Name of the stock(s) to be transferred
- Number of shares
- The anticipated date of transfer
