Requests for NTDB^® Data

The NTDB may be used for informational and research purposes with approval from the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. If you would like to request permission to reproduce NTDB tables or graphs or use the NTDB dataset for scientific analysis, you must complete our online data application and agree to our Terms and Conditions.

• NTDB provides the full data set for investigational purposes
• NTDB does not run specific analysis for research projects
• NTDB now allows researchers to create customized datasets
• Applications take approximately one week for approval and the dataset download takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Incomplete applications will take longer.

Fee schedule for commercial use:

$5000 USD – License to use entire NTDB dataset for one-year period. User must apply for permission to conduct separate studies, however the fee covers all studies during the one-year license period.

$1000 USD – License to reprint up to three graphs, tables, etc. from the NTDB Annual Report.
