Trauma Performance Improvement: A Reference Manual

The purpose of this manual is to complement the American College of Surgeons' resources document, Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient: 1999, by providing an online handbook of practical suggestions and examples of performance improvement applications for trauma. This document reflects a variety of definitions, models, and examples. The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS COT) does not endorse any specific model, definition, or example over another. This manual, formerly called "Trauma Performance Improvement: A How-To Handbook," has been updated (January 2002).
