Mark Your Calendars: ACS Clinical Congress to Convene October 3-7, 2010, in Nation's Capital

CHICAGO: The 96th Annual Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons—one of the largest international meetings of surgeons in the world—will convene October 3-7, 2010, in Washington, DC, marking the first time this meeting has been held in the nation’s capital. The Washington Marriott Wardman Park will serve as the headquarters hotel for the meeting, and the Walter E. Washington Convention Center will house the general and scientific sessions, as well as all scientific and technical exhibits.

The Clinical Congress program includes guest lectures by prominent leaders in surgery; theme- and discipline-based education tracks featuring 116 panel sessions; more than 50 hours of video-based education selections presented in 22 total sessions; more than 400 leading-edge, research-in-progress papers in all surgical specialties for presentation during the Surgical Forum and Papers Sessions; Town-Hall Meetings; “Meet the Experts” Luncheons; a series of press conferences; and a peer-reviewed poster session. Additionally, approximately 225 companies will display products or services that improve the quality of surgical patient care or enhance management practices within the surgical profession.
