CHICAGO WILL HOST THE ACS
CLINICAL CONGRESS OCTOBER 11-15
CHICAGO-The 2009 Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeonsone of the largest international meetings of surgeons in the worldwill convene October 11-15, 2009, in Chicago. The Clinical Congress will feature hundreds of scientific presentations highlighting research in progress in all surgical specialties. The Hilton Chicago will serve as the headquarters hotel for the meeting, and the McCormick Place Convention Center, West Building, will house the general and scientific sessions, as well as all scientific and technical exhibits.
The Clinical Congress program includes guest lectures by prominent leaders in surgery; theme- and discipline-based tracks featuring 116 panel sessions; more than 50 hours of video-based education selections (24 total sessions); more than 400 leading-edge, research-in-progress papers for presentation during the Surgical Forum and Papers Sessions; daily town-hall meetings and “meet the experts” luncheons; a series of press conferences; and peer-reviewed poster sessions.
Approximately 225 companies will display products or services that improve the quality of surgical patient care or enhance management practices within the surgical profession. This year’s meeting will feature hundreds of timely educational sessions including:
