NEW ORLEANS WILL HOST THE
ACS CLINICAL CONGRESS OCTOBER 711
CHICAGO: The 2007 Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeonsone of the largest international meetings of surgeons in the worldwill convene October 711, 2007, in New Orleans, LA. The annual Clinical Congress is the premier professional development opportunity for surgeons to advance their skills and knowledge in the traditional surgical areas and to learn about the latest innovations in surgery. The Hilton New Orleans Riverside will serve as the headquarters hotel for the meeting, and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center will house the scientific sessions and all scientific and technical exhibits.
Clinical Congress attendees can choose from a variety of educational offerings, including 11 named lectures by prominent leaders in surgery; 39 skills-oriented and didactic postgraduate courses; more than 100 general and specialty sessions; 19 multidisciplinary sessions; 21 Surgical Forum sessions; and 20 video-based education sessions. The program also includes 160 peer-reviewed scientific exhibits, and approximately 20 papers have been selected for presentation during the Papers Sessions.
Approximately 250 companies will display products or services that improve the quality of surgical patient care or enhance management practices within the surgical profession.
During the Clinical Congress, a series of press luncheons will be held on preselected surgical news topics. All registered press are invited to attend these complimentary sessions. Press registration materials will be available in late June.
