Practice Management for Residents and Young Surgeons
Developed to meet the needs of residents and young surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, Division of Education presents the Practice Management Course for Residents and Young Surgeons. This set of 2 CD-ROMs uses an interactive / lecture format to help surgeons develop basic practice management skills. The course is designed to educate and equip residents and young surgeons who have recently started practice with the knowledge to manage their personal surgical future with a focus on issues such as how to select a practice type and location; how to successfully manage the mechanics of setting up or running a private practice; essentials of an academic practice; and how to guide your career, and the basics of surgical coding.
The American College of Surgeons designates the educational activity of CD-ROM # 1 for a maximum of 4.5 Category 1 credits and CD-ROM # 2 for a maximum of 3.5 Category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
