Fee Structure

ACS Chapters CME Fees

Beginning on July 1, 2019, the following fees are in effect for Chapters:

  • Late Fee: $100 late fee if any of the deadlines related to the CME Credit Process are missed. Please note that this is a one-time fee of $100 (not $100 for each missed deadline).
  • Enduring Materials: For journals and internet-based enduring materials, the first year of accreditation is free of charge. The ACCME allows that the resource can be made available to learners for CME credit for a period of up to three years. If a chapter decides to post the enduring material for credit for a second year, a $200 accreditation fee will be applied to the chapter. If the chapter decides to make the educational activity available for a third year, a $150 accreditation fee will be applied.

Commercial Support Processing Fee

Applied only if the activity is receiving commercial support (“educational grants”). Excludes commercial promotion (“marketing”/”exhibits”). Fee is NOT calculated based on total commercial support monetary amount the activity is receiving—only on the total of the activity invoice amount.

Additional Information

Invoices are generated upon CME approval of an educational activity. Please note that all Application Fees and fees listed under the "Additional Fees-All Learning Formats" section as stated above are non-refundable. In the event that an educational activity is cancelled, the following terms apply: refund of all Credit Fees, up to 14 days prior to the educational activity. 50% refund of all Credit Fees, 7-13 days prior to the educational activity. No refunds will be processed within a week (7 days) of the start of the educational activity.
