In response to the growing demand for a convenient format to assess surgical knowledge on a regular basis, the American College of Surgeons Division of Education has developed the all-new SESAP Sampler. Continuing the SESAP tradition of excellence, SESAP Sampler consists of content that has been developed with the same rigorous, multi-step, peer review process used for the current edition of SESAP, and has remained heretofore unpublished. The SESAP Sampler provides the flexibility of a periodic, monthly review and the optimum convenience of an online format. The web-based self-assessment resource is offered as an annual subscription consisting of 12 monthly online modules. Each module presents five new, previously unpublished questions along with discussions and cited references for each question addressing the monthly topic. The topics parallel the content outline for the general surgery recertification examination.
