American College of Surgeons Accredited Education Institute Surveyors
Committed to comprehensively evaluating the scope and performance of a potential American College of Surgeons Accredited Education Institute, surveyors are selected from among a group of people who were either nominated or recruited by members of the Accreditation Review Committee, ACS Division of Education staff, and Fellows of the College to file an application to become accreditation program surveyors. All surveyors have expertise or an interest in skills education, and have expressed an interest in wanting to serve as a volunteer surveyor for the accreditation program. The surveyors are surgeons who come from all parts of the world, and participate in a one-day training program, in addition to receiving periodic updates regarding the accreditation program.
