The 2012 ACS AEI Postgraduate Course will take place Friday, September 14 and Saturday, September 15, 2012 in New Orleans, LA, hosted by the LSUHSC New Orleans Learning Center.

Future Committee Meetings:
Each of the committees of the Consortium of ACS-accredited Education Institutes (AEI) will meet twice a year in person on the day prior to the annual Postgraduate Course, and the day prior to the Annual Consortium Meeting. Upcoming meetings will be held on the following dates:
- Thursday, March 15, 2012 (Chicago, IL)
- Thursday, September 13, 2012 (New Orleans, LA)
News:
Congratulations to our newly-accredited institutes! At the December 6-7, 2011 Accreditation Review Committee meeting, the following three institutes were awarded accreditation:
New Level I – Comprehensive Education Institutes:
- UIC Health Sciences Simulation Consortium in Chicago, IL
- NorthShore Center for Simulation and Innovation in Evanston, IL
New Level II – Basic Education Institute:
- University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Educational Institute for Procedural Skills and Simulation in Iowa City, IA

The 4th Annual ACS AEI Postgraduate Course: “Measuring Procedural Competence” took place September 16-17, 2011 in Houston, Texas. Hosted by the Methodist Institute for Technology, Innovation, and Education (MITIE), the course was tremendously successful, drawing 113 participants whose reviews of the event have been extremely positive. The course agenda can be found here (210K PDF).
The 4th Annual Meeting of the Consortium of ACS-accredited Education Institutes took place in Chicago on April 29–30, 2011 and was a successful and productive meeting. 172 participants attended, with 50 of our 61 institutes represented. Reports and summaries from the meeting will follow in our Spring 2011 newsletter.
