4th Annual ACS AEI Postgraduate Course: Measuring Procedural Competence
General Information
This two-day postgraduate course provides surgeons, educators and administrators "behind the scenes" access to the Methodist Institute for Technology, Innovation and Education (MITIE), a Level I ACS-accredited Education Institute at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.
The first day will include lectures and panel presentations held at the InterContinental Hotel. Exhibitors will be on hand during breaks and during the reception to showcase new technology relevant to skills labs and simulation centers. The second day will take place at MITIE, with hands-on rotations giving attendees the opportunity to experience MITIE. Please see the agenda (215K PDF) for further details.
Accreditation
The American College of Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
AMA Credit Designation
The American College of Surgeons designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Refund Policy
A handling fee of $100 will be deducted for all cancellations. Refund requests must be received by e-mail or fax no later than TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2011. No refunds will be given thereafter. Credit card refunds will be processed as received, check refunds will be processed 3-4 weeks after the conclusion of the course.

Hotel reservation deadline is Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Reservations made after this date, or once the room block fills, can only be confirmed on a space and rate available basis.
