Collaborative Staging: Prostate Cancer
(1CE unit; 1 CME credit)
Presented by April Fritz, RHIT, CTR
Course Overview
This presentation is intended to provide cancer registrars with an overview of staging criteria based on review by the CS Task Force and the CS Reliability Study. This session will discuss clarifications of the staging system. Guidelines will be presented for assigning the CS data elements, the TNM mapping, and the anatomic structures of the prostate and its adjacent structures that are needed for accurate coding. Understanding these staging criteria are helpful for the registrar to assign the appropriate codes and when performing studies and analyzing data.
