Course Overview
This presentation provides a review of the cancer program standards and requirements presented in Chapter 8 that were established to help CoC-approved cancer programs evaluate their cancer services, patient care, and outcomes in order to make improvements that ensure patients receive care that is comparable to national standards.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, a viewer will:
- Know the basic structure of the Cancer Program Standards
- Understand the required scope of required of quality improvement activities in a CoC-approved cancer program
- Have learned quality improvement methodology that can be used locally to measure and improve care
Intended audience
This program is intended for physician and non-physician members of the cancer program team, including the cancer program administrator, cancer registrar, cancer committee chair, and cancer liaison physician.
