Cancer Program Policies and Procedures: A Prescription for Success

Course Overview

This presentation is intended to assist individuals in preparing policy and procedures for cancer programs. The course instructs individuals on how to evaluate current policy and procedures for effectiveness and efficiency, as well as make revisions to existing policy and procedures, and how to develop new policy and procedures as the need occurs.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, a viewer will:

  • Know how to organize a policy and procedures manual
  • Be able to define policy and procedures
  • Understand the importance of updating policy and procedures periodically
  • Utilize their registry knowledge to form effective and efficient policy and procedures

Intended Audience

This program is intended for individuals in supervisory, management and/or cancer registry positions responsible for registry operation and data management within a cancer program; and/or individuals wanting to hold the position of supervisor, manager or cancer registrar within a cancer program.
