Preparing for Commission on Cancer Survey: How to Spell Success

Course Overview
This presentation is intended to assist cancer programs with pre-survey preparation. The pre-survey process is outlined and requirements recorded and reviewed to assist programs in organizing and structuring themselves in preparation for a Commission on Cancer (CoC) survey. Standards and documentation required to meet these standards are presented along with rationale.

At the completion of this course, a viewer will:
- Know how to organize pertinent information required for survey
- Understand the role of the institution and surveyor pre-survey
- Understand the requirements and process of survey
Intended Audience
This program is intended for physician and non-physician members of the cancer program team, including the cancer program administrator, cancer registrar, cancer committee chair, and cancer liaison physician who may be responsible for participating in the pre-survey preparation at facilities seeking approval or re-approval by the CoC.
