Course Overview

This presentation provides a brief history of the Commission on Cancer (CoC) including its organization, structure, and major committee activities and programs. It will then review in detail the Cancer Liaison Program and the roles of the state chair and the cancer liaison physician (CLP).

At the completion of this course, a viewer will:

  • Understand the organization and activities of the Cancer Liaison Program
  • Understand the role of the CoC state chair
  • Understand the role and responsibilities of the cancer liaison physician within the facility and local community

Intended Audience

This program is intended for CoC state chairs, cancer liaison physicians, registrars, cancer committee chairs, and any cancer program staff interested in learning about the purpose of the cancer liaison physician.
