Rapid Quality Reporting System (RQRS)
RQRS is a reporting and quality improvement tool which provides real clinical time assessment of hospital level adherence to NQF-endorsed quality of cancer care measures for breast and colorectal cancers. The Rapid Quality Reporting System (RQRS) will be available to all CoC accredited cancer programs beginning Monday, September 19, 2011.
What is RQRS – Flyer (940K PDF)
RQRS was developed to assist CoC accredited cancer programs in promoting evidenced-based cancer care at the local level. It is a web-based, systematic data collection and reporting system that advances evidenced-base treatment through a prospective alert system for anticipated care which supports care coordination required for breast and colorectal cancer patients at participating cancer programs.
RQRS has been extensively field tested at 65 CoC accredited cancer programs over two years. This testing has demonstrated:
- Existing cancer registry operations and nationally established coding guidelines can be used to collect and report a minimum necessary number of data elements to support the smooth functioning of the RQRS.
- This web-based data collection and reporting system positively impacts and promotes the quality of care for breast and colorectal cancer patients.
Participation in RQRS is voluntary and free. However a registration process is required. Review the documentation below for important information on RQRS registration and use.
