Hospital Comparison Benchmark Reports (HCBR)
Access to the Hospital Comparison Benchmark Reports is limited to authorized persons affiliated with CoC-accredited cancer programs. About 11 million cases diagnosed between 2000 and 2009 are available to users of this reporting tool. These reports include data for all types of cancer (categorized into 73 different analytic types). Users are allowed extensive control over the type of cases selected and have a number of co-variates from which to select. In addition, users can generate three different types of reports showing:
- Data reported to the NCDB from their own cancer registry;
- Aggregated data by hospital system, state, or region or at the national level; or
- Comparisons of the cases submitted to the NCDB by the user's cancer program and all the other programs identified by the user in the comparative group.
The Hospital Comparison Benchmark Reports require a log-in, and can be accessed through the CoC’s Datalinks portal.
