Your Hospital’s Cancer Program Information is Presented on the American Cancer Society Web Site
To see how FIPS information appears for public use, go to the Find a Cancer Hospital locator on the American Cancer Society Web site. This can be reached two ways, either from the CoC Datalinks Activity Menu once you have entered CoC Datalinks or by directly accessing the ACS Web site at www.cancer.org. Once there, follow the steps below:
- Under “Managing Your Cancer Experience” select “Make Treatment Decisions” and press the Go button.
- Click on "Making Treatment Decisions"
- Click on "Find Treatment Centers"
- Click on "Find a Cancer Hospital"
- Enter a zip code, city and state, or hospital name, and click the “Go” button
- You can sort the results by city or by hospital name
- Select a CoC-approved cancer program and click on the link for "Services available" to see the resources and services offered at the hospital.
- The “View Glossary” link defines the resources and services
- The “Annual Caseload” link will appear if your hospital has released its Level II data.
Link Your Hospital Web Site to the ACS Site
A CoC-accredited hospital can provide a link from its cancer program’s Web page to the Find a Cancer Hospital Locator on the American Cancer Society Web site. In addition to learning more about the services available at your hospital, the ACS Web site is an excellent resource for cancer information, patient education, and support. Before providing a link to the ACS Web site, please have your hospital’s Webmaster review the ACS Web Linking Policy.
