FORDS: Revised for 2010
Several changes are introduced for use beginning with 2010 diagnoses: new items, new codes for continuing items, and new coding instructions. There have also been changes in the supplementary documents: AJCC, collaborative staging, and hematopoeitic rules. FORDS: Revised for 2010 identifies which of these items is required, along with the multiple primary and histology rules and items, but those items are described in detail in the respective publications and not in FORDS: Revised for 2010.
This version of FORDS replaces all previous versions. We strongly encourage you to read the Preface and Section I prior to using the new manual for an overview of the changes and how the various items work together. For maximum effectiveness, because of the number of changes introduced, we recommend working directly from FORDS: Revised for 2010 as you abstract for the first week or two.
All of these downloads require an Adobe reader to open or print. If you have difficulties opening any of them, download a free updated version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The February 2010 modifications to FORDS: Revised for 2010 introduce several refinements over the original January 2010 version. There are some Site-Specific Factor changes, due to continued work on collaborative staging after the initial version was posted. The new rules for hematopoietic and lymphoid coding are reflected in histology references for several items, especially surgery. Those and other modifications are enumerated in Appendix C. Registries that have already printed the January 2010 version can print the changed pages for insertion into their paper copies.
The March 2010 modifications to FORDS: Revised for 2010 clarify the specification that the Collaborative Stage Site-Specific Factors listed are required for cases abstracted in CSv2 or for cases diagnosed in 2010. See Appendix C for a full list of modifications.
Earlier versions of CoC registry coding manuals are available online.
