Seven Keys to Success for Surgeons

When essential elements for optimal, ethical, and legitimate reimbursement are aligned in your practice, the bottom line improves and risk is reduced. Essential coding knowledge and business office "musts" for surgical practices are featured in this course.

Also learn important practice management process enhancements, use of payment technology, fee schedule evaluation, and how to make process improvements. Additionally an update on CMS initiatives like e-RX, stimulus, and PQRI will be presented.

When you complete this session, you will code more accurately, confidently, and consistently for evaluation and management services—whether in the office or hospital. No more “down coding” for ill patients because a single element is missing.

Successful Surgical Coding and Compliance

Fast-paced and geared to the surgeons who want their coding and reimbursement skills to match the quality of their clinical care—this course shows you how to launch successful change. Develop a new awareness of coding nuances in Friday's Successful Surgical Coding and Compliance. Building on what you learned in Thursday's session; you'll leave knowing about new codes, tips from an expanded session on lesions, lipomas and pilonidal cysts, and more.

Our instruction is not a dry recitation of the CPT book. We use case-based examples to illustrate the reimbursement misalignments that cause surgical bundling, denials, and down coding. A useful workbook with actual code combinations is yours to take home and share with your team.
