CME Information
Accreditation
The American College of Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. The American College of Surgeons designates each educational activity for a maximum of 7 Category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he or she actually spent in the educational activity.
For nonphysicians, each program meets the American Academy of Professional Coders' guidelines for 6.5 continuing education units.
