Advocacy and Health Policy: Medical Liability Reform

Help Fight for Medical Liability Reform

Surgeons have been a particular target for skyrocketing medical liability premiums, with some premiums increasing as much as 300 percent. Many surgeons are being forced to retire earlier, stop doing high-risk procedures or move to states where there are strong medical liability reforms. This special section of the College's Web site provides Fellows with tools to help educate lawmakers on the need for strong medical liability reforms.
