Corporate and Foundation Donations

Toward its mission to promote philanthropy in support of the College’s goals for improving surgical patient care and ensuring the professional standing of surgeons wherever they practice, the American College of Surgeons Foundation seeks grant support from private foundations, corporations and organizations as well as contributions from individual donors.

The ACS Foundation’s policy regarding contributions from industry (110K PDF) guides staff and volunteers in their grant-seeking efforts.  The American College of Surgeons has also issued two Statements related to relationships with industry:

Corporate donors toward Continuing Medical Education programs are also required to sign a Letter of Agreement (35K PDF) detailing the parameters and limitations of their educational grant.

In addition to its Honor Roll of donors in its Annual Report, the ACS Foundation is pleased to provide quarterly updates on this webpage regarding corporate and foundation grants received.
