How to Become a Member of the Fellows Leadership Society

The Fellows Leadership Society (FLS) is the American College of Surgeons Foundation's distinguished donor recognition organization. Since its founding in 1987, Fellows and friends of the College have contributed more than $15 million, thereby allowing the College to award millions of dollars in the form of scholarships and research grants to deserving young surgeons.

While annual membership in the Society is accorded an individual who contributes $1,000 or more in the calendar year, there are many other levels of membership:

  • FLS Life Membership, $10,000 contribution or pledge
  • Regents Circle, $25,000 contribution or pledge
  • Presidents Circle, $50,000 contribution or pledge
  • Founders Circle, $75,000 contribution or pledge
  • Legacy Circle, $100,000 contribution or pledge
  • Second Century Circle, $500,000 contribution or pledge

FLS Membership Privileges

  • Participation in the annual FLS recognition luncheon held during Clinical Congress
  • Subscription to FLS publications
  • Periodic information on estate planning
  • Listing in the FLS Quarterly Annual Honor Roll and Annual Report
  • A Member ribbon to be worn during Clinical Congress

Life, Circle, and Mayne Heritage Members

In addition to the general benefits of membership, Life, Circle, and Mayne Heritage members receive:

  • A Life Member lapel pin
  • Special recognition during the annual Fellows Leadership Society luncheon
