Regardless of the changes occurring in health care, surgeons will surely continue to play a leading role in the practice of medicine.
That is what the Fellows Leadership Society (FLS) is about ensuring that future surgeons maintain their leadership role. Individual members of the Society further that cause through personal giving. Collectively those gifts give the FLS the ability and strength to fulfill its mission:
- To provide financial support for projects important to the future of surgery
- To encourage leadership and loyalty to the College among its Fellows and friends
- To ensure the continued interest and involvement of young surgeons in the College
- To improve the quality of care for the surgical patient.

Fellows Leadership Society Awards Luncheon

Since its founding in 1987, the Fellows of the College have contributed more than $18 million to the American College of Surgeons Development Program, income that has allowed the College to award millions of dollars in support of education and research.
The FLS now numbers more than 500 members, each of whom has contributed $1,000 or more during the past year, or achieved Life Member status in the Society.
In addition to outright gifts, you can also participate in planned giving options, which not only contribute to the profession's future, but also offer attractive tax incentives and potential income to contributors.
