Steering Committee for the Academy of Master Surgeon Educators

(This is a CLOSED committee. Members of the Steering Committee are appointed by the ACS Division of Education.)

The Academy of Master Surgeon Educators® was created to continually advance the science of education across all disciplines of surgery through innovation and the promotion of the highest achievements in surgical education. Approved by the Board of Regents in 2014, the Academy has been charged to identify and recruit innovators and thought leaders committed to education and to translate that innovation into action. The Academy's first members were inducted in 2018.

The Steering Committee is responsible for providing overall direction for the program, helping to develop the standards and criteria for induction into this Academy, and guiding the scope of activities of the Academy.
