ACS Addresses Career-Long Competency for Surgeons

The Board of Governors Physician Competency and Health Workgroup recently published an article in the Journal of the American College of Surgeons about sustaining the lifelong competency of surgeons. The article informed a new ACS statement, and article lead author, Todd K. Rosengart, MD, FACS, was recently interviewed for the May Bulletin cover story about why a multifaceted approach to physician competency is essential.
